The “Filipina: Beacon of Light” is a fine art portrait photography exhibition by the Filipino-American artist Dominique James. It showcases a collection of 25 all-new, never-before-seen gorgeous large format full-color photo prints.

Domingo, Minerva Cabrera Poblete, Nerry Fernando, Nilda M. Colson, Paola Rimando-Domingo, Rizza Palmares O’Connor, Rosita Johnson, Ruth M. Rimando, and Yollie Cabaysa.
The special art gallery presentation of the “Filipina: Beacon of Light” aims to honor the beautiful Filipina women who are long-time residents of Vidalia and nearby cities from within Georgia’s Magnolia Midlands.
“Each and every woman photographed for this exhibition,” Dominique James said in his artist’s statement, “is portrayed as a lady of light, a beacon—resplendent, radiant, powerful, victorious.”

The “Filipina: Beacon of Light” photo exhibit will be on display for the first time at the Eleanor Meadows Gallery of the Altama Museum of Art & History in the historic 1911 neoclassic Crawford W. Brazell House located at 611 Jackson Street, Vidalia, Georgia 30474. The 45-day exhibit is free for public viewing from February 16 to March 31, 2018 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Sundays at 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
