"The ACP Portfolio Review and Walk on Saturday, Oct. 10th at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center offers photographers the rare opportunity to meet one-on-one with highly respected curators, dealers, editors, and agency representatives from across the United States and beyond.
"The Portfolio Walk (following the review sessions) gives Review participants the opportunity to present their work to the general public at a filled-to-the brim, casual, evening reception, open to all.
"We consider our small portfolio review event to be a boutique experience, offering a high-quality environment for both reviewer(s) and photographer(s). Each photographer gets a minimum of 5 twenty-minute reviews as well as opportunities to meet with Roving VIP Reviewers throughout the day to increase your chances of being discovered. There is a secure, dedicated space for photographers to rest and mingle between reviews, plus, food and beverage service throughout the day is included!
"This year we'll also be offering two workshops (both with limited seats available and minimal sign-up fee) one before the reviews on Friday, Oct. 9th, with Aline Smithson 'Preparing for Portfolio Reviews,' and one after the reviews on Sunday, Oct. 11th, with David Bram & Jennifer Schwartz 'Taking Advice to the Next Level: What to do After your Portfolio Review.'"
This sounds like an awesome well-rounded event. I've never been to a portfolio review before but this seems different in many respects compared to other similar events.
